Because the ashes to glass artwork that we produce here at Eternity Memorials is so unique, and so very different from any other type of memorial that you may have seen before, we expect you to have a question or two. Most of our clients do. So, we’ve done our best to put together this page of Frequently Asked Questions in the hope that your question will be answered below…

How much ash do you need for the glass memorial?

We only need a small spoonful of ash to create your glass memorial artwork. The spoon is about the size of a very small tea-spoon, which is part of the collection kit that we send to you once you place your order.

How do I get the ashes to you?

Once we receive your order for your glass memorial, we’ll post out a collection kit to you. The collection kit contains everything you’ll need including a mini spoon, a zip bag, and instructions. And the process is very simple. All you need to do is use the spoon provided to place a spoonful of ashes into the zip bag and seal it, place everything back into the collection kit, then post it back to us. We pay for the postage, and we use Australia Post Registered Mail to ensure the safest travel

Where is the glass made?

Eternity Memorials’ glass Artworks are created at the world-renowned JamFactory Glass Studio in Adelaide, South Australia. We use the finest quality glass to create each unique and individual piece. If you are interested in the glass blowing process, you’re most welcome to come and visit the studio, by appointment.

How long does it take for you to make the glass memorial?

There are several stages to the creation process which, depending on the piece, can take up to four weeks. Most of the time, our clients receive their memorial within the 4 weeks.

How is the glass memorial sent to me?

Your glass memorial, in its presentation box, will be securely packaged and sent via Australia Post Registered Mail, and we will provide you with a tracking number.

How can I be sure that they are my ashes?

At Eternity Memorials we have developed and perfected processes that are extremely thorough, with rigorous checks every step of the way. Each glass memorial piece is individually engraved on the base with name of the deceased to make sure there are no mix-ups. And, if you would like to come and see your individual glass memorial piece being made at Eternity Memorials’ glassworks in Adelaide, we would be pleased to arrange this for you.

Do you offer a guarantee for your glass memorials?

Yes, absolutely. Every one of our Eternity Memorial glass pieces has a lifetime warranty.

Is the glass fragile?

Following the actual glass blowing, the glass is cooled down extremely slowly, over a minimum of 12 hours, so you can be assured that the glass in an Eternity Memorial is very much stronger than your normal household glass.

Can you create a glass memorial using pet’s ashes?

Absolutely. At Eternity Memorials, we believe that our pets are very important members of our families. So yes, we can definitely create a beautiful glass memorial for your much-loved pet.

What do the ashes look like in the glass?

The ashes look similar to silver leaf floating in the glass.

Can I have a personal engraving on the memorial?

Yes, certainly. Each glass memorial piece is individually engraved on the base with the name of the deceased. If you would also like to add a personal message, simply let us know when you order, by using the Note section at the checkout.

What do you do with the remaining ashes?

Unless you instruct us not to, we will send any remaining ashes back to you, along with your glass memorial.

How much do you charge for shipping?

Shipping of your finished glass memorial is free within Australia. We also pay for the return postage for the collection of ashes. All our orders are sent via Australia Post Registered Mail to ensure the safest travel.

What do you call your glass memorials?

Good question. Because Eternity Memorials are so unique, people describe them in many different ways — such as ashes in glass, ashes into paperweights, glass memorials, glass ball memorials, cremation glass balls and more. We really don’t mind what you call them — we simply call them glass spheres or Eternity Spheres.
